Product, Process and System Ontologies and Knowledge Base for Managing Knowledge between Different Clients

M. Lanz, T. Kallela, R. Tuokko, “Product, Process and System Ontologies and Knowledge Base for Managing Knowledge between Different Clients”, Proceedings of the 2008 IEEE International Conference on Distributed Human-Machine Systems, March 9-12, 2008, Athens, Greece.

PISA The aim of the present paper is to introduce a feature-based Product-Process-System ontology in order to retrieve and share knowledge through a Knowledge Base. The ontologies formalize further the product-process-system model and enable general rules in to it. The ontologies form the information structure for the Knowledge Base. In the present paper, an approach is proposed to share platform independent product, process and system related knowledge between the different software clients through the Knowledge Base.
